Our Border Collies
Farm border

We have three Border Collies: Doc, Don, and Nanna. Doc was Jody's 25th anniversary present to Terry. Since then, Terry and Doc have made a great working team. Doc also enjoys helping Jody around the farm, moving livestock from pasture to barn and back.

Doc was Terry's first Border Collie.

Doc passed away in the Spring of 2004

Doc

In 2003 Jody suggested I look into buying a border collie from England. After checking several dogs, I came across a border named Don. Don was being brought to the U.S. by a handler in South Carolina. Shortly after Don's arrival in the U.S., I flew to South Carolina to watch Don work. It was a quick trip. I left on a Saturday and returned the next day. My original plan was to watch Don work, fly back to Nebraska, and think about it. Instead, I decided on the spot to get him, so he returned with me the next morning. He has been a lot of fun to work with. Don has been a very nice addition to the Way To Me Acres dogs. Watch for Don during upcoming sheep trials.

Nanna was our 2003 Christmas puppy. She came to us from Ceri Rundle in Wales. Terry and Nanna were fortunate enought to attend a Derek Scrimgeour clinic in River Falls, Wisconsin. Special "Thanks" to Kensmuir Working Stock Dog Center for hosting the clinic.
