Farm Border

We breed Purebred and Percentage Dorper sheep (crossed with Katahdins) at WayToMe.

Dorpers originated in South Africa and were introduced into North America in 1995.

A Dorper has a white body with a black head.

Dorpers are hair sheep, so they shed out their coats (shearing isn't necessary).

Mature rams weigh between 225 and 275 pounds. Mature ewes weigh between 160 and 220 pounds.

They have calm dispositions, they're hardy, and they're good grazers. Dorper ewes make good mothers.

Dorper rams cross well with ewes of other breeds to produce fast-growing, muscular lambs. Dorpers are preferred for their meat production.
